Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather.

April 2011 - Around the 5/6th of April the first of the heavier rains arrived and there were sporadic showers for about a week. Enough to top up the water tank and then some. By this stage most seeds were sown for autumn winter crops and the rain really got them going.
March 2011 - Last two weeks of March were rather fine, this followed through to beautiful weather for nearly a month. Cooler nights, warm to hot days, some high 30's. Good sleeping weather. Warmish nights here and there with extra cloud cover to trap warmth in.
Jan/Feb 2011 - Black easterlies moved in. Dried out the choko. Windy, bright sunny days. Some lighly overcast days.
Oct 2010 - Warm days, hot sun, chilly winds. The odd day of showers. Some patchy hail. Overall a good month for quick growth of tomatoes and heat-loving plants. Much like September but more overcast days - even if there was no rain. The passionfruit has loved it and put on good growth as has the tamarillo.
